Step-by-step instructions for how to install NautDrafter
Product Features
Steam Authentication
- Any player with a Steam account can log into NautDrafter and authenticate right from there, no need for another account or password.
- Even without a Steam account you can still spectate any servers that are drafting.
The Server List can be Reordered, Sorted and Searched
- The list of game servers can be sorted by clicking on the headers.
- Servers can be searched for by their name or description.
Easy Server Hosting
- Any user with NautDrafter installed can host a Game Server. Read the How-To article here.
Configurable Servers
- When hosting a game server you will be presented with a Server Config screen and can easily customize fields such as Drafting Timeline and the AwesomeNauts map you play on.
Password Protected Servers
- Drafting sessions can be password-protected, preventing players and spectators without the password from joining.
Captain Conflict Resolution
- NautDrafter uses data from the current Awesomenauts season to calculate your experience and resolve captain conflicts when teams are being picked.
- If you want to be captain and your value is higher and their is a crew position available, the spot is yours.
Simple and Clean Drafting Interface
- We have tried to keep the Drafting screen as uncluttered as possible for a fast and fluid gameplay experience.
Chat With Your Team
- Use NautDrafter's built-in text-based chat system to communicate instantly with your team.
Spectator Support
- Throughout the entire drafting process, from Team Selection to Drafting and right through to Character Selection, spectators can watch your game in real-time.
- Spectators even have a special simplified Drafting screen that shows a breakdown of the Drafting Process as it happens.
Informative Summary Screen
- We call it the Versus screen.
- This displays the 3 'Nauts that have been selected by each team and which player has picked them.
Known Issues
- Some network setups may prevent you from joining a server you have created.
- If the application is not closed properly after creating a server, the server may still be shown in the server browser, but attempts to join it will fail.
- Once a drafting session has ended, it is necessary for the host to close NautDrafter and recreate the server in order to start a new session.
See JIRA for all known issues affecting this release.
